Markets have a long tradition in the district, having been held in Huntingdon since 1205 and St Ives since 1312!

St Ives also holds large bank holiday Monday markets, with traders coming from across the country. These markets are open from 8am to 4pm.

Farmers' markets

Huntingdon

We run a farmers’ markets every other Friday from 8am to 2pm in the Market Square, Huntingdon. Visit the farmers' market Facebook page for dates of the next market. 

All the food and produce sold at the market is grown or produced locally, usually within a 30 mile radius of Huntingdon, and is sold by the people who grow and produce it.

Produce on offer:

  • meat, poultry and game

  • organic fruit and vegetables

  • jams, relishes and chutneys

  • cakes, pies and bread

  • flowers and plants.

Selling your produce

To sell your produce at the market, you will need to meet the following three requirements:

  • you produce everything you want to sell

  • somebody involved in production will be able to attend the market

  • all produce you wish to sell contains at least 10% locally-grown ingredients.

St Ives

The St Ives farmers’ market is held at The Sheepmarket on the first and third Saturday of every month from 8.30am to 2pm.

St Neots

The St Neots farmers’ market is held in the Market Square on the second and fourth Saturday of every month from 8am to 2pm.
