On 29 November 2017 Cllr Graham Bull, Executive Leader of Huntingdonshire District Council, was officially appointed to the board of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Cllr Bull replaces Cllr Robin Howe following his resignation from the district council’s cabinet.
In what will continue to be an influential position for Huntingdonshire, Cllr Bull has also taken on the Combined Authority’s rural areas, culture, parks and open spaces portfolio.
Speaking after his appointment was made official, Cllr Bull said: "I am delighted to be Huntingdonshire’s representative on the Combined Authority, and look forward to working with the other local authority leaders in the interests of all the people in Cambridgeshire.
"I am also looking forward to championing the best interests of the residents of Huntingdonshire, ensuring the Combined Authority continues to deliver in our interests, in particular getting the required infrastructure investment in what is, without doubt, a growing area."
The district council’s Deputy Executive Leader, Cllr Ryan Fuller was also appointed to the Combined Authority Board, as Cllr Bull’s substitute in his absence.
Both councillors will retain membership of the Combined Authority Board for the remainder of the 2017/18 municipal year.
