Huntingdonshire District Council held a brief ceremony on Friday 23 June 2017 at 10am to fly a flag in support of Armed Forces Day. The ceremony was led by the council’s chairman, Cllr Richard West.

The Armed Forces Day flag was blessed by Padre Eddie Wynn before being raised to the Last Post played by RAF Wyton Voluntary Bandsman Lewis Bourne. A two minute silence was held, with its ending signalled by the Reveille being played. The ceremony then heard short speeches by Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire Michael G Williamson JP DL and Squadron Leader Tim Taylor from RAF Wyton.
