The responsibility for streets is covered by several authorities.

The surface of the Public Highway is the responsibility of Cambridgeshire County Council.  (See Road Maintenance under Transport and Roads).

Cleansing of streets is carried out by the District Council at a frequency determined by its usage .  This includes mechanically sweeping and litter picking by hand.
