Car Parks


New Car Parking Charges

The Council have completed a review of car parking and new arrangements and charges will be introduced from 1st October 2008. The Car Parking Action Plan 2008-2011 emerging from this work can be found in the linked documents box to the right-hand side of this page.

The Council operates car parks at the following locations in Huntingdon, St Neots, St. Ives and Ramsey.

Where charging levels apply, generally Monday to Saturday, these will be as follows. No charges apply on Sundays.

Short-Stay - 50p up to 1 hour, £1.00 up to 2 hours, £2.00 up to 3 hours & £3.00 up to 4 hours.

Long-Stay - 50p up to 1 hour, £1.00 up to 2 hours, £1.20 up to 3 hours, £1.50 up to 4 hours & £2.00 for up to 23 hours.

Riverside, Huntingdon - (Short-Stay Section only) - 20p up to 1 hour and 40p up to 2 hours.

Riverside, Huntingdon - (Long-Stay Section only) and Bridge Place, Godmanchester - 20p up to 1 hour, 40p up to 2 hours, 60p up to 3 hours, 80p up to 4 hours, £1.50 in excess of 4 hours up to 10 hours. On Monday's to Friday's for any period in excess of 10 hours up to 23 hours the charge is £4.80. On Saturday's, the charge is £1.50 for periods in excess of 4 hours up to 23 hours.

The new ticket machines at Riverside, Huntingdon and Bridge Place, Godmanchester will be running a trial to accept payment be credit or debit card. This will not be available for the first few weeks as arrangements are still being finalised with credit card companies.

All parking for the disabled, together with the display of a 'Blue Badge', is exempt from charge or time limitation unless otherwise stated below (please see St. Germain Street and Chequers Way, Huntingdon and Godmanchester)

Huntingdon & Godmanchester

  • Short-Stay - Sainsbury's (3-hour maximum), Princes Street, Trinity Place & Mill Common plus 1 & 2-hour section at Riverside.
  • Long-Stay - Gt. Northern Street, Ingram Street, St. Germain Street (Minor) plus Riverside and Bridge Place (see above for separate parking charges). 
  • Supermarket parking is available at Waitrose.
  • St. Germain St and Chequers Way (Disabled) Car Parks are no charge for up to 3 hours.
  • On Saturday's only, long-stay car parking is available to the front of Castle Hill House at the same rates as quoted above. Charged parking is also available at Anglian Water, Ambury Road South.

St. Neots

  • Short-Stay - Priory Lane, Brook Street & Tan Yard.
  • Long-Stay - The Priory & Tebbutts Road.
  • Additional short-stay parking is available at Waitrose Car Park at 50p up to 1 hour and £1.00 up to 2 hours.
  • Free of Charge long-stay parking is also available for up to 23 hours at Cambridge Street and Riverside.
  • Supermarket parking is available at Lidl, Cambridge Street.

St. Ives

  • Short-Stay - Cattle Market (Bus Station section).
  • Long-Stay - Cattle Market (Harrison Way section), Darwoods Pond and Globe Place.
  • Additional short-stay parking is available at Waitrose Car Park (Cattle Market section) at 50p up to 1 hour and £1.00 up to 2 hours.

Ramsey

  • Car Parking at Mews Close and New Road is Free of Charge long-stay for a period up to 23 hours.

On Street Parking

The Council also maintains some on street pay and display car parking at a cost of  30p for 1 hour maximum stay. These are at:

Huntingdon:

St Ives:

  • Market Hill

St Neots:

  • Market Square
