Do you admire all the colourful wildflowers around us in June, and wonder what they are called?  If you’d like to know more, then why don’t you come along to a guided walk at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve on Sunday 1st June at 10.00am until noon?

“The Reserve is exceptional at this time of the year, the meadows are awash with yellow meadow buttercups, there are beautiful orchids in bloom and hedgerows covered in blossom are alive with singing birds.” said botanist Jocelyn Gale, who is leading the walk.  “There are so many different wildflowers at Paxton Pits, this walk is an opportunity to look at some of them and discover more about their folklore.”

The guided walk, which is hosted by the Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve, is open to people of all ages and is free.  There is no need to book.  For further information, please telephone Paxton Pits Nature Reserve on 01480 406795.
