The Big Bug And Bird Count Morning (21/05/08)

A Bird

If you are fascinated by bugs and creepy crawlies in the grass, or want to count birds during half term, then come along to Spring Common in Huntingdon on Wednesday 28 May.

The drop in session starts on the hour at 8am and again at 9am and 10am.  The sessions will last for about 40 minutes when hopefully you will be all ‘bugged out’.  To join in the fun, just look for the ranger in the middle of the hay meadow on Spring Common.

Countryside Services Ranger for Spring Common, David Robinson said; “Last year we had a wonderful discovery morning on the common looking at crickets, ladybirds and other minibeasts. I was really pleased with all the bird life we saw and heard on Spring Common, a site which is surrounded by Huntingdon’s houses and roads”.

This event is ideal for all members of the family, especially those who want to learn more about identifying and recording bugs and birds.
