Local food producers and suppliers are being encouraged to get involved in this years food and drink festival, to help promote their business and raise their profile in Huntingdonshire.
This will be Huntingdonshire’s second festival and the celebrations are taking place between 25 - 29 September. The main event, a one-day food and drink exhibition to be held at Wood Green on Sunday September 28, will feature many stands and activities for all the family to enjoy.
The organisers are currently working hard to ensure everyone involved benefits, not only at the main event at Wood Green Animal Shelters but by encouraging visitors to come back and buy from local producers and suppliers time and time again.
By getting involved, this event will give your company the perfect opportunity to promote your goods and services, whilst giving the visitors a chance to taste and sample your fantastic local produce.
Helen Donnellan Senior Sustainable Economic Development Officer said; “The festival will be a great opportunity to promote your business to local residents and visitor. We are urging local businesses to get involved and enter into the spirit of the festival to ensure that we showcase the wide variety of excellent food businesses in Huntingdonshire.”
The festival will celebrate the diversity of locally produced food and drink, from apple juice to wheat. In addition to the main event, other events taking place over the five days include a best sandwich competition to run in the four main towns, with the final being held at Saxongate, Huntingdon along with a ready steady cook event held at the food exhibition and the food awards sponsored by the Hunts Post which will include a junior chef competition, best breakfast, best restaurant, best pub, best small retailer and best producer awards.
