An Opportunity To Learn About The Woodland Birds And Leaves (21/05/08)

The rangers at Hinchingbrooke Country Park are offering you the opportunity to learn about the trees, shrubs and birds found during a walk around the park.

There will be two hour sessions on Tuesday 27 May at 10-12noon and again at 2-4pm. The sessions are suitable for all ages.

After a brief introduction, the majority of time will be spent outside, looking for clues about tree identification.  Charts and books will be available to borrow, but bring binoculars if you have them.  It will make bird spotting easier.

Alison Gray, Huntingdonshire District Council Ranger said; “We hope anyone who comes along will go home inspired to find out more and to investigate local wildlife further. May is a good month to listen for birdsong as they are busy nesting and may well be rearing the first clutch of chicks”.

The cost is £2 per person.  Please book in advance on 01480 451568.
