Junk Sculptures (07/05/08)

It’s time to start collecting cereal boxes and various other junk to bring along to the junk sculptures event at Hinchingbrooke Country Park on Sunday 11 May.

Help will be on hand to turn your rubbish into an amazing sculpture.  All you need to do is bring some imagination and unusual art works will follow.

Rangers at the country park will be working with staff from the county’s recycling bus to show examples of how creative you can be with everyday rubbish.

“The aim is to have fun whilst being creative.  At the same time, the importance of reducing, re-using and recycling will be discussed” said Alison Gray, Huntingdonshire District Council Ranger.

This is a family event and there is no need to book.  Just turn up anytime between 11am and 4pm on Sunday 11 May.  There will be a small charge of £1 per person.
