Art Attack Half Term Workshops For Children (14/05/08)

Art Attack logo

What with the hot weather and the dreaded SATS, there is plenty to occupy children at the moment.  But it’s nearly half term and the Art Attack creative team are ready to offer all sorts of exciting activities for children to take part in during the spring break between Tuesday 27th and Friday 30th May.

The new Art Attack brochure gives full details of the arts and crafts workshops for children aged 8-13 years which run at venues across the district.

The day-long workshops are led by professional artists and bookings are limited to 12 children, so there is plenty of individual attention for each child.  Some workshops have already sold out, but there are still places available on OUR BAND, where children will write, sing and play their own songs, using rhythm instruments made from recycled materials; there’s also T-SHIRT PRINTING, PUPPET MAKING and CREATIVE COLLAGE – lots of good, messy fun!  All materials are provided, and children can take their masterpieces home with them.

The Art Attack brochure is available from libraries and local leisure centres, can be downloaded using the link on the right , or can be sent by post on request.  More details on the artists can also be found on the website.

Art Attack days run from 10am to 4pm, cost £12.50 per day and take place in Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, Ramsey and Yaxley.  They are organised by Huntingdonshire Arts, part of the Lifestyles Team at Huntingdonshire District Council.

Telephone bookings by credit or debit card can be made on 01480 388248.
