For the first time during May half term activity sessions took place across the district to engage young people aged 6 – 12 years in play.

The sessions took place in Somersham, Little Paxton, Brampton and Yaxley and in total attracted over 100 young people to take part in the play activities. All the activities are led by experienced leaders who encourage all to take part in parachute games, team games and generally providing fun opportunities.

Feedback from the parents and children was very positive including comments: “Fab day, really enjoyed it, thanks!” and “I had lots of fun playing games, all of the activity leaders made the games really enjoyable”.

The activities were funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund as part of the play strategy for Huntingdonshire.
