Angling is one of the most popular pastimes in the country, and Countryside Services are delighted to be able to offer this taster session to youngsters aged 6-12. If you are aged between 6 –12, and would like to learn more about this pastime, and pick up hints and tips from experienced coaches, then this is for you.
There will be two sessions for very young budding anglers at Barford Road Pocket Park on 29 July and 12 August from 10am to 2pm, meeting in the back car park of St Neots Leisure Centre. A third session will be held at Hinchingbrooke Country Park on 26 August from 10am to 2pm, meeting at the Visitors’ Centre.
Huntingdonshire District Council Countryside Ranger Matt Johnson explained “The sessions include instruction by a Sport for England Level 2 Angling Coach, and all tackle and bait. You can either use our equipment or bring your own if you prefer.”
The cost is £4.00 per session and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Please book in advance on (01480) 451568, as spaces are limited.
This event has been made possible by partnership working with The Environment Agency and sponsorship from Ouse Valley Specialist Angling in St Neots.
