If you would like to know more about minibeasts with no legs, 6 legs or lots of legs then come to Hinchingbrooke Country Park on the 1st August and join the rangers hunting for creatures around the site. There will be 2 sessions, one for families with children aged 4+ from 10am until 12 noon and one for families with children aged 8+ from 1.30pm until 3.30pm.
“We will be having fun pond dipping and hunting for creatures in the grassland too” says ranger Alison Gray. “We always catch lots of fascinating insects, spiders and other so called creepy crawlies” she adds. You might also find weird water stick insects, jumping bush crickets or even colourful spiders and learn some interesting facts about them.
This event costs just £4 per child and does need to be booked in advance by phoning 01480 451568.
