Have you ever wanted to explore your local wildlife but never known where to go or what you are looking at? Well here is the perfect chance!
Please come and join the Countryside Rangers at your local pocket park at Barford Road, St Neots from 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm on Thursday 17th July. Enjoy bird song from skylarks, reed buntings, sedge warblers and possibly the resident kingfisher, whilst looking out for the many wildflowers which the park has to offer.
The walk will be on flat ground and about 2 miles in length, suitable for all ages and abilities. Families welcome!
“This is the perfect chance for everyone to come and enjoy a nice evening stroll around a newly established park in their area.” said Huntingdonshire District Council Countryside Services Ranger, Matthew Johnson. “They will be able to meet me, the Ranger responsible for the site and see how the whole site is progressing. This will be a great chance for the local residents to see what we do on site and ask questions about their local park”.
We will meet at the noticeboard by the wooden bridge on the school side of the park at 7.00 pm. Please wear suitable footwear.
