Students from Samuel Pepys Special School enjoyed Tag-Rugby coaching from St. Neots Rugby Club outside of school hours over the last few weeks. This non-contact version of the full game has allowed the students to practice ball-handling skills, dodging skills and most importantly teamwork.
David Reeve, Sports Development Officer at Huntingdonshire District Council said; “It was good to see the young people learn to work together in a sporting environment. I must thank Colin and David from St. Neots Rugby Club for providing some high quality and very enjoyable coaching throughout the sessions.”
It is hoped that Tag Rugby for students with special educational needs could become a regular activity in the St. Neots area, any parents or young people that would be interested in getting involved please contact David Reeve, Sports Development Officer on 01480 387098 or e-mail him using the link on the right.
