If you are looking for a whole week of activities to keep children active and entertained during the half term school holidays then look no further than your local leisure centre.
There are five leisure centres run by Huntingdonshire District Council in St Ives, Huntingdon, St Neots, Ramsey and Sawtry which have all put together a packed programme of sport and leisure activities offering something for everyone.
Children aged 5 to 12 can attend any of the popular kids holiday clubs where they will take part in swimming, sports, games, art and crafts, cooking plus other exciting activities. Full and half day sessions are available from only £2.11 per hour which represents excellent value for money. The holiday clubs are all registered with OFSTED and provide a fun, caring and exciting environment with experienced CRB checked staff supervising all activities.
There are many individual courses and taster sessions to choose from including American football, badminton, basketball, cheerleading, football, roller skating, short tennis, swimming, trampolining and ultimate frisbee. For those that want to be creative there are arts and crafts and cookery sessions.
Children under 5 can attend the fun soft play sessions with bouncy castles, ball pools and play equipment. These are a great opportunity to socialise and meet other parents.
Special offers during half term include ‘Courts 4 Kids’ where children under 17 can hire sports hall, squash and tennis courts for only £2.00 and all equipment hire is free of charge. The outdoor synthetic pitches are ideal for playing football and can be booked from only £5.00 per hour.
Advance booking is required for the majority of courses and you are advised to book early as they fill up quickly.
