It’s hard to believe that half-term is less than 2 weeks away, so now is the time to book some fun activities for children. The new Art Attack! brochure gives full details of the popular half term arts and crafts workshops for children aged 8-13 years which take place at venues across the district, and is available now.
The day-long workshops are led by professional artists and bookings are limited to 12 children, so there is plenty of individual attention for each child. Several workshops are already sold out but there are still some places available on: JUNK JAM, when recycled junk is used to make musical instruments; CUPBOARD LOVE, create a beautifully decorated box; and ROUND THE WORLD, where children will build their own model catamaran. All materials are provided, and children can take their masterpieces home with them.
The Art Attack! brochure is available from libraries and local leisure centres, can be downloaded from the link on the right, or can be sent by post on request. More details on the artists can also be found on the website.
Art Attack! days run from 10am to 4pm, cost £12.50 per day and take place in Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, Ramsey and Yaxley. They are organised by Huntingdonshire Arts, part of the Lifestyles Team at Huntingdonshire District Council.
Telephone bookings by credit or debit card can be made on 01480 388248.
