Wake Up With A Walk (29/02/08)

Wake yourself up with an early morning walk with Huntingdonshire Health Walks this weekend. For walkers new and old, all are welcome. We will leave from Hinchingbrooke Country Park Visitor Centre at 8am on Saturday 1 March and will combine sections of several of our regular Huntingdon Walks. The walk will last about one and a half to two hours and is approximately 4 miles long.

There may be sections along this walk which will be muddy and the terrain is a little uneven, so it is recommended that walkers wear sturdy footwear and bring along coats in case of inclement weather. The walk is led by trained leaders who will guide you around the route.

Walking is something that has many health benefits and it is a free and accessible method of making a subtle lifestyle change for the best. Regular walking can help to reduce the risks associated with coronary heart disease and is a social activity.  Our walks often finish with a welcome tea or coffee.

We will be finishing at Hinchingbrooke Country Park at approximately 9.30–10am, where the café will be open and serving hot drinks and bacon sandwiches to all walkers at a reasonable charge. The rest of the day is yours and you can feel wide awake and raring to go after some fresh air and exercise.

New walkers are welcome.  Why not join in and start walking your way to health?  Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete some essential paperwork.
