The Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) is holding the first ever Inclusive Fitness Week from Thursday 24th April through until Wednesday 30th April 2008. This week has been developed as a celebration of inclusive physical activity across the country.
The IFI recognises leisure providers that go that extra step to make sure they are accessible for the wider community with the Inclusive Fitness Mark. Huntingdon Leisure Centre is very proud to currently hold this accreditation and is hosting some activities to celebrate the Inclusive Fitness Week at their centre.
On Thursday 24 April the centre is offering disabled people the opportunity to come along and take part in the Active and Able Sports Club FREE of charge. This is a chance to sample the weekly multi-sports club for disabled people free of charge. The session will be running from 11am – 1pm.
On Wednesday 30 April the centre will be hosting a Boccia taster session from 2pm – 3pm; this session will also be free of charge.
Booking in advance will be required for both sessions – in order to book your place please call Huntingdon Leisure Centre on 01480 388600.
