The Ouse Valley Way will be the main feature of a guided walk taking place later this month, on Sunday 27 April 2008.

Walks along the Ouse Valley Way will be starting from Paxton Pits Nature Reserve at 10am. This beautiful stretch of riverside has a wonderful variety of wildlife to see and hear. The group will be walking at a steady pace covering approximately 7 miles (11km).

Countryside Services Ranger, Paul Claydon said; “If you fancy a scenic walk along the river led by a ranger taking in the picturesque river, this is the walk for you. We will be walking along the Ouse Valley Way from Little Paxton to Offord following the public footpath and all are welcome.”

He added; “Along the way we may see and hear the first warblers and nightingales that are arriving from Africa and we hope to be able to identify some early spring plants such as celandine and water marigold.”

Walkers will meet in the car park and all walkers must wear strong footwear and sensible clothing and carry a packed lunch and drinks.
