The Huntingdonshire Community Safety Partnership is supporting the Home Office in promoting the ‘Not in my Neighbourhood Week’ in Huntingdonshire this October.
The aim of the week is to raise awareness of the excellent work that is being done in areas across the district to tackle crime, to help keep communities safe and to empower local communities to get involved.
Huntingdonshire Community Safety Partnership and partner organisations are holding ‘Street Safe Surgeries’ during the week and would like residents to join forces with them to say no to local crime, vehicle crime, burglary, anti-social behaviour, criminal damage and alcohol and drug misuse.
The ‘Street Safe Surgeries’ will provide residents with the opportunity to talk about:
• More Treats and Less Tricks for Halloween
• Firework and Bonfire Safety
• How to encourage considerate use of communal areas, which are being used for ball games
• Raising awareness of vehicle crime
• Fly tipping and how to encourage more recycling
Street Safe Surgeries will be held on the following days;
Wednesday 17 October, 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. – The Oaktree Centre, Oak Drive, Huntingdon
Saturday 20 October, 10.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. - Community Information Centre, 36 Great White, Ramsey
The surgeries will be supported by the Police, Fire Service, Huntingdonshire District Council’s Community Safety Team and Neighbourhood Watch.
Come and join us in fighting crime in your area!
