A schools indoor rowing event organised by Impressions Fitness Suites was held last week within every Impressions Fitness Suite. Five of the district’s secondary schools participated in the event with Hinchingbrooke School winning the overall competition.

The age ranges followed the British Indoor Rowing Championships guidelines and saw participants from the age of 12 – 15 enjoying the free event.

The category winners were as follows:
J12 Male Ali John from St Peters, J12 Female Kelly Davis from Hinchingbrooke, J13 Male Joshua Clarke from St Ivo, J13 Female Shona Wright from Hinchingbrooke, J14 Male Joshua Crofts from Hinchingbrooke, J14 Female Ailish Howard from St Ivo, J15 Male Jonathon Mills from Hinchingbrooke and J15 Female winner Ellen Carr who was also from Hinchingbrooke.

Gemma Bonnett Impressions Fitness Suites Brand Manager said, “This is a great way to introduce an organised sporting event in a safe environment particularly as it is a sport that is not easily accessible to everyone”.

All the participants received a Free Concept 2 water bottle, certificates, the winners from each category will receive medals and the overall school winner will be receiving a trophy.
