This Easter will offer plenty of fun sporting activities, organised by Huntingdonshire District Council’s leisure development team to try and engage young people in leisure provision during their school holidays.

There will be free activity road shows taking place in Needingworth, Little Paxton and Yaxley. The roadshows are for children aged 6 – 12 years and take place between 1pm and 4pm. They offer a range of fun, sport orientated games led in a safe and supervised environment.

Short taster sessions have been organised for archery and canoeing to provide the opportunity to try a new sport. The archery sessions will be taking place at St Ivo Outdoor Complex, St Ives,  and Paxton Lakes Sailing Club and last for 1 ½ hours each. The canoeing sessions are the same length of time and will be taking place at Hinchingbrooke Country Park, Huntingdon.

Other activities include a three-day golf course at Hemingford Abbots Golf Complex, a four-day sailing course at Paxton Lakes Sailing Club, a multi-sports day at St Ivo Outdoor Complex and a multi-sport session at Yaxley.

The Easter programme also includes some tennis and archery for people of all ages, with disabilities.
