This summer there is no excuse for children to be bored during the school holidays.  ‘Summer Fun 2007’ is an essential 32 page guide which answers every parents question about how to keep their children active and entertained.

The leisure centres in St Ives, Huntingdon, St Neots, Ramsey and Sawtry have teamed up to bring you a packed programme of sport and leisure activities for all ages, abilities and interests so everyone will find something to enjoy.

A popular choice for both children and parents are kids holiday clubs where children take part in an exciting daily mix of swimming, different sports, games, art & crafts and cooking.  Each centre has their own mascot who makes special appearances and takes part in the action.  Children aged five to 12 can attend for just £19 per day which works out at only £2.11 per hour.  Half day morning and afternoon sessions are also available.  The holiday clubs are all registered with OFSTED and provide a fun, caring and exciting environment with experienced CRB checked staff supervising all activities.

Sports enthusiasts as well catered for with a wide range of courses for ages up to 16 years which are led by qualified coaches.  You could learn new football skills, bounce on the trampoline, be an ace at tennis or even create your own cheerleading dances.  See the ‘Summer Fun’ guide for a complete list of sports available.

In the pool you can help your child improve their swimming confidence with crash courses for 3+ years.  There are also exciting water courses including snorkelling, canoeing, synchronised swimming, scuba diving and rookie lifeguarding.

If you just want to cool down, you will find even more swimming sessions for children and families to enjoy.  Two parents and two children can now all swim together for just £8.95 with a family swim pass and under 5’s can swim for free at all times.

Kids who want to get creative and messy will love the cookery and arts & crafts sessions.  All equipment, ingredients and materials are provided and parents don’t have to worry about clearing up.  Most importantly, children will have the satisfaction of making something on their own.

Advance booking is required for most activities so you are advised to book early to guarantee the activity of your choice.  If you book on selected leisure centre activities you will be entered into a prize draw with the winner riding off with a bike of their choice worth up to £200.
