The Diversity Forum Huntingdonshire is holding a Unity in the Community day on Saturday July 14 in Huntingdon between 11am and 3pm. The aim of the event is to raise awareness of diversity and to promote a greater understanding between the different communities within the district.

This years event is the result of a joint venture between the Diversity Forum and the Medway Centre and with over 100 free attractions, promises to be one that will not be forgotten!

The Unity in the Community day is free and all members of the local community are welcome to attend. It is being held at St Barnabas and the Medway Centre, Medway Road and The Maple Centre, Oak Tree Drive.

Activities on the day will cater for people of all ages and include face painting, food from around the world, a bouncy castle, hair braiding, the fire service, a pamper zone, salsa dancing and much, much more. The focus will be on giving people a chance to try out new experiences for themselves.

Chair of the Diversity Forum, Simone Russell said, “This is the third event we have held promoting the rich diversity of our community. The last two years have seen the event growing in popularity and this year it is guaranteed to be even bigger and better. We have so many different free activities taking place that there will be something to interest everyone. There will be a warm welcome to everyone who comes along and joins us on this fun day out.”

This event is sponsored by Qubic recruitment. If you would like more information on the event please contact Equalities Officer, Anne-Marie Waterston, Luminus Group on 01480 428726.
