Families in St Neots are launching a community cookbook full of nutritious and delicious recipes. The launch is taking place on Wednesday 2 May from 1.15 to 3.00pm at the community room at the Winhills School.

The book contains 20 mouth-watering family recipes designed by local families to help spread the word about healthy, seasonal food. The launch will provide an opportunity to taste some of the healthy recipes.

The initiative is part of a ‘Hunts for Good Food’ Programme jointly run by Huntingdonshire District Council and Huntingdonshire Primary Care Trust.

Veronica Martin, Health Improvement Officer, Huntingdonshire District Council said, “It is great to see the parents taking an active part in promoting the Department of Health’s, 5 fruit and vegetables a day initiative as well as a balanced diet among their community and their children”

Veronica added, “For a free copy of the recipe book, come along to the Community Room at the Winhills School “.

A raffle will be taking place at the launch with the chance of winning 3 luxurious healthy food baskets.

Pampering activities will be running on the day with all proceeds going to the St Neots Family Group.   The group has also designed a T-shirt with the 5 a day logo on it and will be wearing them on the day.
