A summer’s evening stroll around Huntingdon’s Commons is being led by Huntingdonshire’s local History Society Chairman, David Cozens, in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council’s Countryside Services on Thursday 8 June at 7pm.  Taking approximately two hours, the walk will take in Mill Common, Views Common and Spring Common and will be a chance to find out about the fascinating history of these areas.

“Huntingdon has such an interesting history and combined with a walk through our lovely commons this makes a wonderful evening out”, said ranger Kirsty Drew.  “Come along and discover what makes the town bridge unusual, what happened on Castle Hill, what Spring Common used to be like in days gone by and much, much more.  If you would like to join us please meet at the entrance to Huntingdon Riverside car park.  A charge of £1 per person will be made as a donation to the Huntingdonshire Local History Society”.
