Officers at the Tourist Information Centre

A free 2006 calendar which features Huntingdonshire’s local events including history evenings, racedays, ramblers, choral, concerts and fairs is now available from the Huntingdon and St Neots Tourist Information Centres.

The calendar lists details of over 100 events that are going on in the towns and villages of Huntingdonshire every week from January through to December.  As well as the planned events there’s space for you to write your own appointments and each month features a picture of the district.

Winter scenes include St Ives in January, Houghton Mill in February and Abbots Ripton in December.  St Ives and Monks Wood are featured in summer, while spring and autumn are captured in pictures of the district’s country parks and nature reserves.

“The calendar has proved to be very popular with local residents and visitors over the last two years as the events listed in it allow us all to get out and enjoy our local area.  It is wonderful to have so many beautiful pictures of the district in this new 2006 calendar as it is encouraging people to visit the area” said Councillor Mrs Jean Chandler, executive councillor for leisure.

The calendars are available free of charge from Huntingdonshire Tourist Information Centre, in the library foyer, Princes Street, Huntingdon or St Neots Tourist Information Centre, New Street, St Neots.  Please call the Huntingdon Tourist Information Centre if you would like a copy posted to you Tel 01480 388588.
