St Ives Swimathon Success
57 dedicated swimmers plunge into the pool at One Leisure St Ives on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th April to help raise over £5,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Sport Relief.
The Swimathon Weekend included plus 1.5k, 2.5k, 5k and team events plus incorporating the Big Splash Mile.
The fastest swim of the day was by a team of five swimmers representing St Ives Swimming Club who swam 200 lengths (5,000 metres) in just 1 hour 4 minutes. This incredible time is the equivalent of 19 seconds per 25 metre length.
The St Ives Swimming Club team included Becky Hime, Ellie Roberts , Oliver Cook, Luke Watson and Tom Davis.
