Disability sports for juniors

Two multi-sports clubs are running in Huntingdon and St Neots to give participants aged 6 to18 with disabilities the chance to receive qualified sports coaching in a variety of different sports.

Active and Able run structured sessions at One Leisure Huntingdon fortnightly on a Tuesday from 5pm to 6pm, and One Leisure St Neots fortnightly on a Wednesday from 5pm to 6pm starting week beginning 9 January, and 16 January 2012 respectively.

The sessions are open to all young people with disabilities and are a great way for participants to interact with new people and release some energy.

Councillor Tom Sanderson said: “These multi-sports clubs are a great opportunity for participants to meet new people, or to try a new sport that they may never have thought about before. The range of sports really provides something for everyone.”

The cost is £2.00 per session and no booking is required. For more information contact Paul Ashbridge, Sports Development Officer, on 01480 388842, or click on the link on the right.
