Grants

The Council operates a number of grant aid initiatives.  Follow the links to the left of this page to see information on the grants available and how to apply.

Currently, the District Council can allocate approximately £30,000 or 25% of the total project costs, whichever is the lower, to individual projects in grants to organisations and community groups.  Please note that Huntingdonshire District Council will NOT award funds towards retrospective projects which are underway prior to the Grant Aid application being submitted. Click on the link to the right for grant guidance notes, under Capital grant aid form.

Grant aid currently falls within the following category:

Capital Grant Aid for community projects i.e:

  • Financial support for village hall improvements;
  • Modernisation of play areas;
  • Modernisation of playing fields.

Who can apply?

Grant aid is currently available to a wide range of organisations, from small locally based organisations reliant upon volunteers, through to larger organisations employing paid staff.

All grant aid applications will be evaluated to find out how they impact on the District Council’s Priorities which are:

  • Safe and active communities;
  • A healthy population;
  • A clean, green and attractive environment;
  • A strong and diverse local economy;
  • Housing which meets with local needs;
  • and Accessible services and transport choices.

Why should I apply online?

To assist with the efficient processing of your application we prefer forms to be submitted electronically.

These forms are in Adobe.pdf format and you will need the latest viewer in order to use them.  Use the link “accessibility” at the bottom of this page to find out more about getting the latest version of this free software.

The forms are large files so if downloading from a dial up connection (not broadband) please right click on the links and select “Save Target As..”. This will allow you to take a copy of the form and open it from your pc.  You must be online in order to be able to submit the form.

Applications should arrive at Huntingdonshire District Council – Community Team offices by Friday 28 November 2008, no later.

If you experience any difficult with the online form, please call Angela Nixon on: (01480) 388245
