Council Tax


The Council collects Council Tax from more than 69,500 house-holds for itself, Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridgeshire Police Authority, Cambridge & Peterborough Fire Authority and town and parish councils in Huntingdonshire. Each year the Council sets the level of the Council Tax depending on how much each authority needs to raise from local people. The Council Tax bills for 2008/2009 totalled £88.5m(Gross Debit). A full list of all the Council Tax charges can be found in our linked documents.

Direct Debit Payments

Payment by Direct Debit is the most convenient and cost effective method for paying your Council Tax bill and more than 70% of our customers choose to pay by this method.

Ring us on 01480 388030 with your bank details ready or download the Direct Debit form in our linked documents and return it to us today.

Your reference number must be quoted when returning the form to this office. This is shown in purple on the top right hand corner of your bill and is an eight digit number starting with a 4.
