The Department for Work and Pensions
They are responsible for giving support and help for people of working age, employers, families and disabled people.
Job Centre Plus
They are responsible for the payment of Job Seekers Allowance to people of working age. They also help you find a job and train you for new job opportunities.
Pension Service

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (formerly the Inland Revenue) administers the collection of Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital gains tax, National Insurance Contributions and other national tax schemes. It is also responsible for the payment of Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.
The Rent Service
The Rent Service is an executive agency of the Department for Work and Pensions. The Rent Service provides valuations for local authorities in England, for use in the assessment of Housing Benefit claims where the tenant is renting from a private landlord.
From 7 April 2008 The Rent Service also sets the Local Housing Allowance rates appropriate for each area.
