Leisure Development


The Leisure Development team offers a wide range of sport and health related activities to promote a healthy population within the district.

The team works closely with a number of partners to help provide these activities, such as young people's holiday programmes, disability sports clubs and health walks. Support is also offered to local sports clubs to help provide access to leisure.

KurlingHuntingdonshire Disability Sports Forum Indoor Sports Festival (11/08/08)

On Sunday 5 October the Huntingdonshire Disability Sports Forum’s annual Indoor Sports Festival will return. This event is free of charge and aims to give disabled people the opportunity to take part in a variety of different sports and exciting activities on the day.

The summer holidays are finally here and the leisure development summer activity programme had begun. The programme is designed to provide young people with opportunities to try something new and have a go at different sports, as well as providing activities within local communities through the free activity roadshows.

Students from Samuel Pepys Special School enjoyed Tag-Rugby coaching from St. Neots Rugby Club outside of school hours over the last few weeks. This non-contact version of the full game has allowed the students to practice ball-handling skills, dodging skills and most importantly teamwork.
