Huntingdonshire offers a whole variety of family activities to interest children of all ages. Many of the area's attractions welcome children. Here are a few suggestions for happy family outings.

For animal lovers, take a trip to Hamerton Zoo Park to see exotic animals housed in parkland. Wood Green Animal Shelter is also home to a wide variety of animals, including domesticated animals looking for loving homes.

At the Shetland Pony Visitor Centre, you can see the world's smallest ponies. They all have their own pedigree and special character with the smallest pony only 29" tall.

Admire over 300 birds of prey at The Raptor Foundation. Many of the residents were injured or abandoned. Relax in the lovely gardens and watch the birds fly.

A journey to Wansford's Nene Valley Railway will delight all small children, especially when Thomas, the famous children's train, is at the depot. A series of special Thomas events are run throughout the year. At Christmas time, "Santa Special" services are fun filled events.
