St Neots - Priory Park

The childrens play area at Priory Park St Neots

Priory Park is situated off Huntingdon Road and Priory Hill, St Neots and has parking facilities for approximately 40 cars.

It was originally laid out in the 18th Century as part of the Rowley Estate. It is 32 hectares (80 acres) in area, with extensive mature woodland, and large open spaces which accommodate 5 football pitches, several mini soccer pitches, changing rooms and a new pavillion which was part funded by the Football Foundation and HDC.  The pavillion contains 4 new changing rooms, referees changing rooms, a kitchen and a refreshment area/meeting room.  The scheme also included the newly installed CCTV equipment.

The park contains many beautiful trees – the native specimens of oak, chestnut, plane and lime. These, together with, the rolling landscape make this park an ideal location for Civil War Battles and Encampment Festivals.

The park also includes a large fenced area enclosing a children's play area, please use the link on the right for details of these facilities.

St Neots Sunday League Football hire the pitches and use the changing room facilities contained within the Pavilion close by.

The park is used for various activities such as picnics, dog walking, orienteering and sponsored runs as well as well as children’s holiday activity clubs in the summer.

Priory Park has been entered for a Green Flag Award this year for the first time.  Judging will take place in May.  Please use the link on the right to view the Management Plan which has been created as part of our submission for the Green Flag Award.  We will endeavour to achieve what has been set out within the Plan.
