Huntingdon - Coneygear Park
Coneygear Park is a newly developed Community Park situated to the north of Huntingdon between Oxmoor and Hartford.
What was a flat field has now been landscaped and planted with over 1700 native trees and shrubs. Local schools and members of the local community helped with the planting of the copse and hedgerow areas.

Facilities
The Park is open to the public at all times and the Ranger's Hut is regularly manned by a Ranger from Countryside Services Monday to Friday and at weekends when events are being held, providing a safe environment for visitors of all ages. There is a disabled toilet available and refreshments on sale when the Rangers Hut is open and there is a telephone in case of emergencies.
Phase one of the Park construction was completed in June 2006 and work is currently ongoing to provide play areas for toddlers and older children. Facilities at present include a half basketball court, junior size football field, play spiral and dog-walking areas. The large field is great for football, kite flying and running around.

Wildlife
Wildlife on the park is returning following the construction work and counts of birds, butterflies, moths and other minibeasts are being undertaken to give a picture of life on the park. Minibeast hunting kits are available from the Ranger who will help identify your catch and record them. It is planned to sow wildflower areas on the landscaped mounds to add a splash of colour and to encourage more wildlife to the park.
