Two festivals are organised by Huntingdonshire Disability Sports Forum each year and are held at both St Ivo Leisure Centre and St Ivo Outdoor Centre. The aim is to introduce disabled people to some sports and activities that they may not have taken part in before, and to provide details of where they can participate within the district. The festivals are supported by local clubs and organisations who give up their time voluntarily to coach the activities.

Outdoor Festival - Sunday 6th July 2008
Nearly 100 participants braved the bad weather on Sunday 6th July to attend the Huntingdonshire Disability Sports Forum Outdoor Festival at the St. Ivo Outdoor Complex. Sports on offer included Climbing, Archery, Tri-Golf and many more. Everybody enjoyed the day despite getting slightly damp. The Huntingdonshire Disability Sports Festivals offer disabled people the opportunity to come along and try a range of sports on one day, completely free of charge. Unfortunately the afternoon was beaten by the weather and activities were cancelled.
Festival Co-ordinator and Sports Development Officer, David Reeve said “I was amazed by the turn-out in the conditions; I believe that is a sign of how much this type of event is valued by all that are involved. It was a real shame that the afternoon activities could not take place but safety of the participants is paramount. Thanks must also go to Howzat Cricket Club, Hemingford Squash Club, The Golf Foundation, St Ives Rangers Disability Football Team, St Ivo Outdoor complex and all the volunteers for making the day a success.”
