Coaches And Volunteers

Coaches

Support and advice is offered to both existing coaches and those that want to get involved in coaching. The work carried out by the sports development team relies heavily on the availability and input of sports coaches, therefore we are committed to help coaches with personal development.

The County Sports Partnership, Living Sport, run a range of courses for anyone involved in sport including coaches, officials and administrators. Information about training courses such as First Aid, Child Protection, Coaching Disabled Performers and many more can be found on the Living Sport website link on the right.

Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to the running of sport – without them many clubs and events would not develop or in some cases cease to exist.

Huntingdon District Council is always eager to recruit new volunteers with a range of experience and skills. There are many different roles that volunteers can play within sport such as:

  • Administration
  • Coaching
  • Officiating
  • Fundraising
  • Cleaning
  • Finance
  • Maintenance

For further information and guidance about volunteering within sport and physical activity in Huntingdonshire, please contact Leisure Development using the link on the right, or alternatively submit the Volunteer Profile and Self-Disclosure Form about yourself within related information.
