Swim 4 Life Scheme News
Huntingdonshire's Leisure Centres will be transferring to an in-house 'Swim 4 Life' teaching syllabus from January 2009.
This follows a Leisure Centre survey into swimming lessons carried out in February 2008 and changes to the scheme provided by Amateur Swim Association National Plan for Teaching Swimming which will come into effect from September 2009.
Junior Swimming Lessons (3+ years)
We provide swimming lessons for 3+ years by incorporating the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) National Plan for teaching swimming. Our qualified teaching staff help your child gain confidence, develop technique and enjoy swimming.

Adult Swimming Lessons
It's never too late to learn or improve on your existing skills. Learn with other adults who have the same ability as you. Classes are available for beginners and intermediate swimmers. Teachers will follow the ASA adult programme to improve your skills and ability. Limited spaces are available so booking in advance required.
- Every Monday (starting from Monday 1st September)
- 9.00pm – 10.00pm
- £7.20 per lesson
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
This is the most widely recognised lifeguard qualification in the UK with over 33,000 lifeguards gaining the NPLQ every year.
The course is for 16+ years and provides an excellent way to start working in the leisure industry giving you valuable skills which can be used throughout your life.
