The council understands that for many reasons, some people need specially adapted homes or some practical help to cope with day-to-day living.
If your current home does not meet your needs and you would like advice about your options you can contact the council to discuss these on the numbers below. Your options may include:
- Adapting your current home to meet your needs if this is possible
- Purchasing a more suitable home if you have the finances to do so or have a property to sell that may release equity to buy somewhere else. This could include looking at Low Cost Home Ownership options available through some Housing Associations
- Applying to the council's Housing Register to access more appropriate rented Housing Association properties
- Investigating options in the private rented sector
If you wish to apply to the council's Housing Register please go to the Home-Link website where an on line application is available (click on the link on the right of this page and go to the Registration page). Alternatively a paper form is available to complete and return on request. If you have particular adaptation or support needs please also request a copy of the Home-Link medical form to complete and return.
