Trade Waste collection is a service offered by the Council to businesses within the district. This is a chargeable service.

The charge for this service is currently £1.55 + VAT per commercial waste bag / sticker (2008/09).

We are currently unable to provide recycling collections for trade customers, however there are a number of companies and organisations that can. For information about trade recycling options please see below or contact us on 01480 388388.

What does my Trade Waste go in?

Trade waste is collected in white sacks and we also provide stickers for larger items (e.g. Cardboard packing waste).

Where and When will my Trade Waste be collected?

Your waste will need to be left out at your premise edge ready for collection, by 06:30 on the morning of your collection. Collections are made weekly.

Commercial Bulky Waste

Commercial Bulky Waste is collected through a seperate service, charged at an hourly rate.

£70.00* per hour + VAT (2008/09)

*Please note that the total charge includes the time taken to travel time from our depot to the collection point, make the collection and then take the waste to the disposal site. Certain commercial waste items may not be collected. Please contact us for more information.

Trade Recycling

Huntingdonshire District Council is currently unable to provide a recycling collection for commercial customers. However, the Recycling in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough (RECAP) partnership, of which the Council is a member, has recently produced an extensive directory of recyclers and reuse organisations who can provide recycling services for trade customers throughout Cambridgeshire.
