Recycling Centres

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) are run by private companies for Cambridgeshire County Council. The Centres are operated free of charge for members of the public but they do not take waste from businesses.

These sites recycle glass, newspapers, clothing/textiles, scrap metals, fridges for CFC removal, waste oil and anything else of value. All these sites are open seven days a week all year round except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Taking your separated household waste to the sites will reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Sites within the Huntingdonshire District Council area are:

  • Alconbury
  • Bluntisham
  • Buckden
  • St.Neots

For specific information including opening times and information maps please visit the link on the right.
