Domestic Waste

Domestic waste is waste from householders which cannot be recycled, composted, reused or disposed of by other means.

We collect domestic waste from households in the district using grey wheeled bins.

For smaller properties with storage and access issues, households use blue sacks for their domestic waste collection.

Domestic waste is collected every two weeks.

To find out which day your domestic waste is collected, please see the link in related information.

Important Information

  • Please place your domestic waste on the edge of your property by 6.00am on the day of collection.
  • Please ensure that all your waste is inside the bin. Only waste inside the wheeled bins will be taken.
  • Make sure you do not overfill your wheeled bin. If your bin is too heavy to move, it will not be emptied.

For further information about domestic waste collections, please see the information in related documents on the right.
