Full Plans Application
A "Full Plans" application, generally, involves a two stage payment - one when you submit your plans (Plan charge) and one following the first inspection on site (Inspection charge).
Note: where the estimated cost of the works is £5000 or less, then both the plan charge and inspection charge are required to be paid at the application submission stage
Building Notice Application
A "Building Notice" application, does not require any plans to be submitted but both (Plan charge) and (Inspection charge) are required when the application is made.
You can make this application Online (see related info on the right)
Note:A building notice is required for replacement windows when not being done by FENSA registered companies.
Regularisation Certificate
You may apply for a Regularisation Certificate for work that has been carried out since 1985. It will be inspected as if it were being built to find whether it would have complied with the Building Regulations at the time. This may mean uncovering certain parts of the construction for inspection, also calculations may be required from a Structural Engineer depending on the type of work done.
