Spaldwick
An attractive village, Spaldwick is centred around its Green and is particularly noted for the period houses in the High Street and the bridge which carries the Thrapston Road over the brook dates from the 15th Century. The village is dominated by the church whose spire soars to 152 feet. Another feature of the church is its ornate Norman north doorway. The 16th Century George Inn, adjacent to the Manor in the High Street, is a thriving traditional pub with a restaurant which attracts customers from a wide area. Several new residential areas have been developed recently and the primary school extended to accommodate the additional children from these and developments in the surrounding villages. More recent amenities include a village hall and recreation ground.
