This lightly populated Parish is the most northerly in the District and bounded on three sides by the River Nene. Sibson, the smaller of the two communities, consists only of a few cottages and the charming mid-17th Century manor house. At Stibbington, is Stibbington Hall, a manorial house built in the 17th Century of Ketton stone. Sibson has a small, privately-owned airfield which provides facilities for flying, parachuting and other outdoor pursuits.
Stibbington has two pubs and a restaurant, the village centre has a post office/store and a thriving nucleus of other shops. The Parish is the home of the Stibbington Environmental Education Centre and also contains the headsquares of the Nene Valley Railway at Wansford Station one of the District’s most popular tourist attractions.
