Community Access Points

Don’t own a computer but would like to use one?

Community Access Points are community or public buildings where computers, colour printers and scanners have been installed for you to use free of charge*.   All the computers have broadband connection to the internet via the Cambridgeshire Community Network.

The computers are equipped with the latest Microsoft Office software and other applications such as Photoshop Elements, MS Encarta Deluxe – Encyclopaedia, Adobe Acrobat Reader, MS Combat Flight Simulator and many more.

Pop into your local Community Access Point where you can do the following things:

  • access council and government information and services
  • surf the net
  • send e-mails
  • shop on line
  • follow an on-line training course
  • look at job adverts
  • book rail, bus, plane or cinema tickets
  • trace your ancestors or long lost friends
  • scan photographs or other pictures
  • write a letter or your CV
  • play games and lots more!

If you have never used a computer before and would like to learn, short beginners courses may be available.  Please telephone the Access Point Organiser on 01480 376140 for more information or complete the sign-up form on the right-hand side of this page.

We are also looking for volunteers who would like to help people learn how to use a computer and run one to one sessions at these Access Points.   Please telephone on 01480 376140 if you are interested for a chat.

*small charges may apply to cover printing costs
