Alcohol

Many people enjoy a drink, and drinking sensibly and sociably can be a pleasurable way to pass time with friends and family.

However, misuse of alcohol can lead to a variety of problems.  These include abuse of alcohol and binge drinking, drunken behaviour, underage drinking, drink driving and alcohol related violence.  All have a serious impact on society and people's health.  Some-times the consequences are far reaching when misuse of alcohol leads to violence or even death. 

The Community Safety Team supports the role of a number of agencies who work to reduce the affects caused by misuse of alcohol.

The Community Safety Team works closely with agencies in Huntingdonshire who are committed both to tackling the dealing of drugs and also the treatment of users.
